We are pleased to announce that our company has been awarded the tender for the modernization of the Kherrata tunnels, which are of strategic importance and located on the RN09 highway connecting the provinces of Bejaia and Setif. Originally completed in 1985, these tunnels will be redesigned and modernized in accordance with European standards, taking into account the current traffic intensity, and will include electro-mechanical works.
As of July 4, 2024, the Notice to Proceed (NTP) has been issued by the client, with an estimated completion date of 16 months. The Kherrata Tunnels, with a total length of 6.2 km, will undergo renovation in the first phase, with a 3.1 km section targeted for refurbishment. Özgün İnşaat and our local partner, Sarl Mediterraneene Megrous, will undertake this significant project. The tender for the second phase, covering the remaining 3.1 km section, is included in the client's schedule.
